A while back I read a book titled “Ego is the Enemy.” The name more than the book is what stuck in my head. It did this because it raised question, “How is ego the enemy?”

I think it comes down to this: Protecting oneself from being perceived at being deficient in some way by others.

This becomes the enemy because it is creating a perception rather than the truth. The truth about ourselves and more important, the truth about our relation to who God is.

If “Ego is the Enemy,” then humility, truth, and the light that God Word shines on our lives is our friend.

Stay True. Stay Ready.
