True Faith

I have no righteousness.

There is nothing within me that can make me right before God.

This much is clear.

I can’t even grasp the situation I am in.

On my own, I do not seek God.

I run from him.

I turn aside and become worthless.

I can’t stand before Him and say “There. I am good enough.”

That just doesn’t happen.

Not even for a little.

But then came hope.

Even though I sinned…

Even though I failed to meet the standard of His presence…

By God’s grace, I was counted justified as a gift.

That gift was found through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

For God so loved me that he gave his only Son for me.

Now that I believe in him, I will not perish.

I will have Eternal Life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn me.

He sent His Son in order that I might be saved through Him.

For my sake, He made Him to be sin, who knew no sin.

It is in Him, that I become the righteousness of God.

Now when I confess my sins, He shows Himself as faithful and just.

He forgives my sins and cleanses me from all unrighteousness.

As far as the east is from the west, is how far he has removed my transgressions from me.

I am found in Christ.

I am a new creation.

The old has passed away and I can see that the new has come.

For by grace I have been saved…

Through Faith.

This is not my own doing.

It is the gift of God.

It is not a result of works, so that I cannot boast.

Now Faith is being sure of what I hope for.

The conviction of things that I cannot see.

Though I have not seen him, I love him.

Though I do not see Him now, I believe in him.

I rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory.

I have obtained the outcome of my faith…

The Salvation of My Soul.
